The Celestial Mandala of Crystal Maitreya

While the buzz of the day is focused on inbound crystal energy and transmutation of human nature, I've unfolded the Celestial Mandala of Crystal Maitreya for the systematic cultivation of luminosity, ascending to the crown of awareness. The Sanskrit word "Maitreya" means "Benevolent", and the word "Buddha" means "Awakened-One". Much like the Sun and Moon in our sky, such concepts are universal and unbound by the particulars of faith and culture. The carrying intention is to illustrate the dance of the universals of awareness, independent of narrow and superstitious belief.

If you can count to 16 and grasp the binary principle (ON/OFF = 1/0), you can contemplate on the celestial appearances of Crystal Maitreya in a cardinal wheel of sixteen permutations over A) Primal Reality, B) Causal Worlds, and C) Phenomenal Worlds. This is the stuff of legends; and these are the spheres of archetypal awareness explored by sages and saints since the days of the Sun and Moon over Earth under Heaven. The patterns of nature are the source and the unifier of beliefs; therefore, seek to uncover natural and straight human truths in this elementary mandala.

Whatever your particular religious or scientific symbols may be, we all live in a world shaped (or created) by an interplay of [+] Prime Energy / Awareness and [-] Root Matrix / Patterns. When active and luminous [+] Dynamis (Yang) meets supporting and [-] Neutralis (Yin) in a self-sustaining [±] Balance Intermix in the 2^1 = [2x] Primal Reality, the multiplying 2^2 = [4x] Causal Worlds and 2^3 = [8x] Phenomenal Worlds come into being. These domains of awareness are a repository of patterns revealing the foundational unity in mysticism, spirituality and religion.

The path leading away from chaos and conflict is a path of sharing and universalization. Conflicts are a particular world of languages, while awakening is the universal stuff of experience. When pure awareness shines on the canvas of prime patterns, the world transforms from a fragmented and unpredictable field of anarchy into a symmetric display of complementary patterns. As all composites in the world follow the same elementary laws of physics, and as inner awareness and the phenomenal world are inherently married, the wisdom embedded in patterns is versatile and universal.

I've given 16 illustrative names to the 16 archetypes, a play of characters with three anagram series on three levels. The peak of the physical and phenomenal realm is "Maitreya Sananda". Again, "Maitreya" means "Benevolent", and "Sananda" means "with Son". These are the three layers of descending luminosity — A) Primal Reality: [+] Maitreya, "Benevolent"; B) Causal Worlds: [++] Maitreya Buddha, "Benevolent Enlightenment"; and C) Phenomenal Worlds: [+++] Maitreya Sananda, "Son of Benevolent".

Then, in order of derivative emergence — [+] Maitreya is Benevolence, [++] Maitreya Buddha is the Awakening of Benevolence, and [+++] Maitreya Sananda is the Beloved Child of Benevolence. Maitreya — "Pure Awareness", "Luminous Energy", "God Is Balance", "Conscious Spirit": Harmonize your parallel perspectives; seek the unifying pattern in the echoes of the shadow; and immerse yourself in the luminous wisdom of primal energy!

When contemplating, make these spheres the entirety of your unified awareness.

When contemplating, make these spheres your extrovert and introvert hemispheres, the principal fields of emotion and intellect, and observe their interplay and resolution.

These are the manifesting energetic spheres of existence, reflected as the journey of the embodied human self. When contemplating, make these spheres and states of consciousness one with your Body, Heart and Mind, and reflect on the course of your experience across the refined archetypes of embodied awareness.

The Human Totality and Multiple Dimensions of Existence

When we seek to expand the horizons of our thought, a recurring problem lies in the fact that a great many people have a hard time following us, simply because we're navigating way out there. After all, everyone has an innate need to contextualize new concepts against a familiar grid of thoughts. What are these esoteric dimensions then, and what do they have to do with anything? This is an attempt to build a basic bridge between the conventional single-dimensional outlook and the multi-dimensional systemic perspectives of reality we seek.

Dimensions of the Human Totality

The human being is a psycho-physical totality with the two basic dimensions of the body and the mind. The physical body is easy enough to understand as a one-dimensional object. When the primary imperatives of the mind revolve around the active needs of the body, whether in acquiring pleasures or averting pains, in immersing the mind in material realities, or in collectively organizing others around parallel agendas, the mind and the body exist primarily in the same flat and familiar material dimension. Then, human existence revolving around the body is inherently one-dimensional and exoteric.

When we move beyond the physical dimension and explore our inner potentials, it's all esoteric by definition — esōterikós: inner. The concept of multi-dimensional existence is esoteric indeed, as it involves the rich world of human psyche, rather than the mere external realities of life. Despite its more ephemeral nature, it's not a domain of existence to be shunned or evaded. If one were to shy away from the depths of the human mind, one would forsake an incredible radiant pool of potentials. These inner potentials are the undercurrent of the progressive evolution of human species.

To gain a sense of the multi-dimensionality of the mind, try picturing the entirety of your own mind — your basic drives, attachments, priorities, curiosities, memories, traumas, realizations and ignorance — as a single object with a particular mass, dimension and structure. You'll find that it's extremely challenging to pin the mind down to a single and contained one-dimensional object — assuming you observe your thoughts carefully enough to to notice them as separate from your base consciousness to begin with.

Having reached for the form of your own mind, now try picturing the minds of people you know in similar terms, and you'll get a good insight into the social layer of multi-dimensionality. The world you see is formed of countless subjective mental bubbles, each with their distinct characteristics, dimensionality and trajectories, colliding with each other in blissful ignorance of the underlying operative principles.

The human totality and its potentials are much greater than the simple day-to-day needs we face and tackle. The dimensions of the mind are essentially infinite, only restricted by self-imposed cognitive restrictions that keep your consciousness oriented and focused on the everyday world alone. If you learn to probe into the depths of your mind, first exploring the active patterns of your mind and conquering them, and then exploring, unraveling and coming to terms with your subconscious mind and its latent traits, you will discover an emergent potential of countless possibilities yet undiscovered and unexplored.

The Benefits of a Multi-Dimensional Mind

The benefits of mastery over the one-dimensional drive of the mind, or in other words a skill for real time mental management and optimization, are too many and obvious to enumerate here in detail. Learning to map and project your own inner patterns and potentials, you will approach a platform where you can shift your cognition from a limited individual perspective to collective perspectives — without the constant interference and distractions of the individual mind with its countless idiosyncratic imperatives. Moreover, it's hardly possible to live in a spirit of equality and do unto others as you would have them do unto you without grasping the constant and variant dynamics and dimensions of the many minds we meet.

Increased focus in introspective capacity and pattern recognition are central human assets beyond the "mere" comprehension of your own unrealized potentials. The better you learn to understand the abstract patterns guiding your mind and the minds of others, the clearer your perception of patterns in the environment becomes. The better you understand the diverse dimensions in which the minds of others move, the better you are able to understand their subjective imperatives and capacities.

With full recognition and abstraction of your mental contents and dynamics, the entirety of your know-how can be converted into general-purpose formulae. You then become the ultimate observer and CEO of your mind, able to switch in and out from the pull of your psychological currents at will, and able to adapt your abstracted know-how across diverse fields of life. For the simple fact that it helps you intercept the emergence of negative patterns within you before they turn into action, it's well worth it.

The more holistic your understanding becomes, the better you will be able to intuit the future. In this, we are no longer working with magic or visions — we are working with scalable causality and probabilities. Then, whether we're talking about commerce, politics, society or sports, impartially observing and understanding the extant and emergent patterns gives you undeniable leverage beyond those unable to perceive, model or project the course of events beyond the scope of immediate and evident causes and effects. Nostradamus of visionary fame would gaze at the patterns of the skies and ponder on the patterns of the known world, reconciling them into probabilistic predictions of the future of mankind.

Kasmin nu vijñāte sarvam idaṁ vijñātaṁ bhavatīti? — "By realizing what does all of this become cognizable?" — asked the budding sage from the ancient seers of India. That, by which everything else becomes cognized, is the ultimate dimension that synthesizes and reconciles all other dimensions into a symmetric and immanent whole. While the ultimate "source code" of existence is nondual and incomprehensible to the dimensionally challenged human psyche, as we journey through the layers of the mind and approach greater depths, the world reveals itself repeatedly in renewed and broader terms, providing an infinite fund of knowledge for anyone with the eyes to see.

Dimensional Conclusions

This quest for mental expansion is the basic foundation and motivation for many of us who choose to journey into cosmic mansions in between and during our everyday routines. It's not about an idle intellectual curiosity or a misguided metaphysical quest devoid of real life relevance. Quite to the contrary: It's about seeking to comprehend the totality of our human situation, taking control of and optimizing our own existence, and transcending the inner and subsequently outer limitations imposed by our mental and social environments.

There is an abundance of existential and functional dimensions the mind can reach for and learn operate in — beyond the above essential strata for gaining basic control over our lives and recurring situations — but they are too numerous and too far outside a general frame of reference to be featured in this article. To name some Indic and Oriental schools of thought for historical reference, the extended potentials and dimensions of the mind have been systematically discussed for example in Theravadan teachings on mental focus and absorption or Jhana / Dhyana, the rapid psychological transcendence and enlightenment of Zen, the truly esoteric and symbolist Vajrayana, and the mental remodeling methods of Advaita Vedanta and Raja Yoga.

Understanding the dimensions of the mind is undeniably a quest worth embarking on, should the world you experience through your senses ever begin to look stale and restrictive. This discovery of additional dimensions overlapping and interacting with the gross every-day reality is critical in forming a working synthesis between the matter and spirit in your being. In the process — as long as you remain vigilantly true to your internal integrity — the world will also become that much more a better place for all of us to share and evolve in.

As I've worked further towards a synthesis of my experiences and accumulated skills from over the years in Hindu and Buddhist circles, it's clear that with sufficient abstraction all scenarios and their dynamics can be pooled into a symmetric set of multi-field expediency, also in diverse business and technology contexts.

Engaged in diverse projects in diverse groups, the unifying environment across the board has been one of intense focus and dedication to improving and perfecting one's accomplishments, while acting a carefully tailored frame of mind. When you do things for a holy purpose and it reflects on your entire existential status, motivation for getting the job done properly and thoroughly is naturally available. Moreover, when you are meticulous with every emerging detail, things tend to get done very efficiently.

Lake of Flowers Productions was in its prime between 2005 and 2007, producing and publishing online a total of 100.8 GB of audio recordings and edited video footage, and photographed and archived thousands of high-quality photos. Presently in archival mode, the site is supported by ads and donations, and continues to serve out free media indefinitely. As of October 2010, 27 TB of tracked media have been downloaded.

The storage and online file serving solution was provided with support from the Internet Archive (Archive.org) and their petabyte project, as free availability of high-quality media and cultural history was a shared agenda. In-house developed tools for connecting with the Internet Archive server networks made the operation silk smooth. Footage from the archives has been featured on Comedy Central's The Daily Show and in numerous independent productions.

Software and technical solutions provider, text digitization and transliteration with Gaudiya Grantha Mandira, a non-profit initiative founded by professors Jan Brzezinski and Neal Delmonico for digitizing, transliterating, and eventually translating ancient and medieval Sanskrit and Bengali texts as a free public service.

The current library hosts almost 600 previously unavailable texts in diverse formats for both academic research and seekers of wisdom, provides an additional platform for collaboration, and a well-rounded set of free tools for converting text between all common transliteration schemes and associated Indic scripts.

Some initiatives, like a semantic markup language for automated text processing, cross-referencing and miscellaneous notation, an abstracted data storage system for bibliographies and metadata cross-referencing of categorized shorter texts, and an advanced full-text library search engine, are still in the air pending more resources and volunteer participation.

Gaudiya Kutir: President / Project Director / PR / Networking / Systems and Infrastructure

The Gaudiya Kutir was a syncretic networking initiative to advance availability of information and resources on cultural, meditative and religious traditions from medieval Bengal. With agendas for I. Education, II. Preservation, III. Celebration, IV. Facilitation, and V. Outreach, it aimed for a broad field of activities and global expansion. I contributed as founding member and VP (later President), community leader, project manager, systems developer, and resources producer.

The organization sought to pool volunteer resources and ongoing projects under one roof, providing synergy, contacts and additional resources to efforts with parallel interests and potential. With over a dozen major internal projects and assistance for numerous independent initiatives, it successfully disseminated information and provided resources to a small but growing global audience. In absence of sufficient supporting interest and funding, the project was gradually frozen, and contingencies were shaped for the initiatives to continue independently.

Fixing things up for
people in need..

The two final years of the CodeWallah phase went largely off the grid across India and Nepal in search of the ultimate code and the patterns of a grand paradoxical abstraction, with periodic meditation retreats and seclusion, general free wandering on foot, entertaining villagers, publishing blogs, photos, doodles, poems, serious news and editorials, and hacking in a random client update at times of electricity and "available" business time in a cyber-café somewhere down the lane.

In Nepal, I worked with two environmental/educational NGOs and an orphanage, providing marketing and networking help, volunteer organization, manual labor, technical solutions, food, and organization structuring help on a volunteer basis.

Somewhere down the line I first grasped that strange unifying light atop the yonder mountain peaks after muttering too many mantras, studying too many books, casting too many spells, hoping too many hopes, dreaming too many dreams, and walking way too many miles both physically as well as far far down the rabbit hole and back again.
